Pump ready

An on-line bidding war has won the City of Loris a new pump truck, Public Works Director Rodney Hardee said. Loris’ $35,002 snagged the used equipment from the City of Conway. Hardee said the truck will be a blessing, replacing one plagued with breakdowns. It will be sold for parts. (Joyce Graham photo)
