Columbus County Cares

Columbus County and tornado ravaged Moore, Okla. have their population, about 56,000, in common.
Caring is equally abundant, and Columbus County is responding to the community that lost 24 souls, hundreds of buildings, and billions of dollars in property to the EF5 twister that flatten broad sections on Monday.
A tractor trailer donated by Columbus County Commissioner Edwin Russ, Craig and Melissa Rogers, began Wednesday collecting items that will be trucked to Moore as soon as it is filled. Business has been busy in the Walmart parking lot in Whiteville, and volunteers said they were happy to see the truck beginning to fill. (Deuce Niven photo)
