Carleen Soles Duncan: Tabor City

    Carleen Soles Duncan of Tabor City died Thursday, June 27, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville. She was 79.
     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Flora Mae Blackwell Soles. She was the widow of the late Norman Devaughn Duncan.
    She is survived by one son, Richard Duncan of Tabor City; two daughters, Norma D. Todd of Clarendon and Tina D. Burckette of Tabor City;  three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  
    In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Randall Duncan, and a grandson, Devoughn “Rocky” Prince.  
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29 in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
    Visitation was planned for one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
