Emma Reaves Johnson Hucks: Fayetteville

    Emma Reaves Johnson Hucks of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, July 4, at Cape Fear Medical Center, following a sudden illness. He was 80.
    Born on July 13, 1932 in Loris, she was the daughter of Mr. Grover Cleveland Reaves and Mrs. Ebbie Mae Gause Reaves. Mrs. Hucks retired from the Loris Extended Care Facility, environmental services, and was a member of the Myrtle Beach Seventh Day Adventist Church.
    Survivors include her husband, William Thomas Hucks of the home; a daughter, June Melody Johnson Rodham and husband, David, of Aynor; a brother, Lacy Reaves of Savannah, Ga.; stepson, Michael Hucks and wife, Utaiwan of Del City, Ok.; and two stepdaughters, Pamela Austin of Fayetteville, and Sharon Pilgrim and husband, Clifton, of Raeford.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hucks was predeceased by her first husband, George Samuel Johnson and one brother, Samuel William “Dub” Reaves.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris with Elder Ernest Duncan officiating. Committal services were to be private. Visitation was planned from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service in Hardwick Funeral Home.
