LFD carries fallen firefighter

    Fellow firefighters from the Loris Fire Department carried the body of Assistant Chief Rodney Hardee from Hardwick Funeral Home to the Loris Public Safety Building Thursday afternoon.
    Hardee, 66, died Tuesday, just two days after a brain aneurism felled him just hours after a fire call.
    Visitation for Hardee was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, in the auditorium at Loris High School, with burial to follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. See his complete obituary here.
