Loris turned out on Friday to say goodbye to long time friend, Rodney Hardee.
Loris’ Public Works director for more than four decades, assistant chief at Loris Fire Department where he served for 40 years, Hardee died Tuesday, two days after answering his last fire department call.
Members of several fire departments, police departments and rescue units stood vigilantly at attention while family, loved ones and friends filled Loris High School Auditorium. Ladder trucks held an American Flag aloft for family to drive under, as they entered the parking lot.
Dr. W.P. McLeod and Rev. Dennis Williams officiated inside the auditorium at Loris High School. Graveside service with full military and Masonic honors was held at Oak Dale Baptist Church.
