Peggie Joe “Pansy Buffkin” Tyler: Tabor City
Peggie Joe “Pansy Buffkin” Tyler of Tabor City, entered Heaven dancing Thursday, July 25. She was 72.
Born in Tabor City, she was the daughter of the late Earlie and Julia Waddell Buffkin.
She is survived by two sons, David Lamont Tyler of Tabor City and Bradley Derek Tyler of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Janey Julienne Tyler of Tabor City; four sisters, Sheila Hill Pervell of Colorado Springs, Col., Hazel Simonton of Flat Rock, Mich., Terry Nielsen of Sunrise, Fla., and Sherry Tesauro of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, in Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City.
Her home going celebration was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, July 29 in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Brown, Patty Cartrette and Kari Pervell. Burial was planned in the Gapway Church Cemetery.
