Wilbur E. Floyd: Loris

Wilbur E. Floyd of Loris passed away Sunday, July 28 at his home following an illness. He was 80.
Born on June 10, 1933 in Loris, he was the son of Samuel Fulton Floyd and Edna Mae Grainger Floyd.
Mr. Floyd served his country with courage and honor as a Sergeant in the United States Army, after which he worked as a farmer, store owner and rural mail carrier.
Mr. Floyd was of the Baptist faith and a member of Who’s Who in South Carolina.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Bonnie Faye Roberts Floyd of the home; one son, Keith Floyd and wife, Debbie; one daughter, Delilah Floyd Eaddy and husband, Frank; five grandchildren, Darris, Kolby, Kody and Carlie Floyd and Crystal Eaddy; two great-grandchildren, Aden and Mason Floyd; three brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Floyd was predeceased by his daughter, Eugenia Floyd and three brothers.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Kitty Boyd and Rev. John D. Floyd officiating. Committal services were to follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was planned from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at Hardwick Funeral Home.
