Giant chalkboards hosted by Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter were installed in front of the Tabor City Visitor Center Wednesday. They will be in place through the end of August, giving local folks and visitor s chance to share their hopes and dreams.
LCFH&LCC staff will be at the Visitor Center from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, holding “Decisions Matter” talks with a focus on advance-care directives, important documents including living wills and Health Care Power of Attorney forms, and more.
“We want to take the fear out of talking about advance-care decisions,” said Lisa Clark, LCFH&LCC community outreach coordinator. “We understand that at any time a person may be unable to communicate healthcare choices. That’s why we want everyone to know it’s OK to talk about their wishes, and we’re here to help.”
An open invitation is extended to for the “Decisions Matter” gathering, and to share “Before I die…” thoughts on the boards.
