Geraldine “Judd” Benton: Conway

    Geraldine “Judd” Tyler Benton of Conway went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 10 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Conway. She was 60.
    Geraldine was born on July 6, 1953, a daughter of the late James “Chief’ Tyler and Letha Tyler.
    She was predeceased by her loving husband of 15 years, Richard Lee Benton, two brothers, Elbert Tyler and Oneal Tyler, and a grandson, Hunter Benton.
    She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, John T. Long Jr., of Conway; two stepchildren, Alan Benton and Amanda Benton, all of Conway, five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Richard Tyler of Aynor and Earl Tyler of Loris; two sisters, Shirley Sawyer of Fork, and Hazel Fowler of Sophia.
    The family planned to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the funeral home.
    Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Dudley Parnell and Rev. Larry Cashatt officiating. Burial was to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
