John P. Hipskind: Loris

     John P. Hipskind of Loris passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13. He was 69.
     He was born in Wabash, Ind. a son of Kathryn Jeannette Hipskind and the late Kenneth P. Hipskind.
     Survivors including his mother are four children, Scott Hipskind of North Wilkesboro, Cheryl Elliott of Boiling Springs, Richard Edward Lane, Jr. of Loris, and Kathy Lane Bell of Galivants Ferry; six grandchildren; three brothers, James Hipskind of Michigan, Richard Hipskind of Valparaiso, Ind., and Kevin Hipskind of Wabash, Ind.; three sisters, Suzanne Grandstaff-Dunphy of Wabash, Ind., Elaine Gaither of Indianapolis, Ind., and Marissa Brubaker and Dennis of Fort Wayne, Ind.. and his fiance’, Rosie Lewis of Loris.
     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
     Funeral services were planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Zoan United Methodist Church with Rev. John Watts and Mr. Glen Elliott officiating. Committal services with military honors were to follow in the church cemetery.
