Laura G. Wood: Spartanburg

    Laura G. Wood of Spartanburg passed away Saturday, Aug. 17. She was 81.
    Born March 4, 1932 in Whiteville, she was the daughter of the late Otis Morgan and Eva “Sweetie” Dalma McQueen Graham. She was a retired teacher from Loris Middle School. Laura also proudly served at the Loris Community Hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Loris United Methodist Church.
    Laura is survived by her son, Bert Thomas Wood of Spartanburg; her daughter, Eva Rowe of Longs; her brother, Dr. Jack M. Graham of Spartanburg; one grandson.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the Goldfinch Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Essie Mae Bromell. Burial followed in the Patterson Cemetery.
