Smooth school start at GSFES

    There were smiling faces, and no tears evident as students arrived at Green Sea Floyds Elementary School for the first day of the 2013-14 school year on Thursday.
    Horry County School District officials reported a generally smooth school opening, something those in Columbus County are hoping for Monday, when the school year begins for students.
