Agnes Hamilton: Loris

    Agnes Hamilton of Loris passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21 at her niece’s home in Myrtle Beach. She was 86.
    Mrs. Hamilton was born Oct. 9, 1926 in Loris to Troy Floyd and Pinkie Rowell Floyd.
    Mrs. Hamilton retired as an inspector from CHF Industries and was a member of Cane Branch Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her two granddaughters, Tanya Housand of Myrtle Beach and Tara Housand of Little River, two great-grandchildren, sister, Dorthy Strickland of Nichols, and her niece and nephew who were her caregivers, Louise Majstorich and Don Prince both of Myrtle Beach.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton was predeceased by her husband, Harry Hamilton; her son, Roger D. Floyd, her daughter, Pinkie Mae Housand, four brothers, Hubert, Odell, Leon and Ernest Floyd and three sisters, Katie Strickland, Carrie Prince and Ila Jane Floyd.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alvin Jackson officiating. Committal services will follow at Cane Branch Cemetery.
    Visitation was planned from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Hardwick Funeral Home.
