Voter ID cards offered in Horry
Registered voters in South Carolina have been required to show any one of five forms of identification in order to vote since the first of this year.
Horry County Registration & Elections is offering free voter identification for voters at locations throughout Horry County between Sept. 10 and 19.
A voter registration card with photo is one of the five approved voter identification cards. Others include a South Carolina driver’s license, South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles identification card, Federal military identification with picture or a United States passport.
Voter ID cards will be available in Loris and Green Sea.
In Loris the cards will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Loris Library on Main Street.
In Green Sea the cards will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Green Sea Library, 5331 Hwy 9.

• Sept. 11: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.-Bucksport Library, 7657 Hwy 701 S, Conway
• Sept. 12: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.-Aynor Library, 500 9th Ave., Aynor
• Sept. 16: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.-Surfside Library, 410 Surfside Beach Dr., Surfside Beach; 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.-Socastee Library, 141-Hwy 707 Connector Rd., Myrtle Beach
• Sept. 17: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.-Carolina Forest Library, 2250 Carolina Forest Blvd., Myrtle Beach
• Sept. 18: 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.-Chapin Memorial Library, 400 14th Ave. N, Myrtle Beach
• Sept. 19: 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.-Little River Library, 107 Hwy 57 N, Little River; 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.-North Myrtle Beach Library, 910 1st Ave. S, North Myrtle Beach
Cards are available to all registered voters of Horry County; anyone not yet registered to vote may register on site with verification of identity such as a utility bill or lease.
