Gary L. Ward: Nakina

    Gary L. Ward of Nakina died Sunday, Sept. 22 in Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. He was 52.
     Born in Columbus County he was the son of Marvin J. Ward and Ethel Jones Ward.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Clara G. Ward of Nakina; two sons, Casey Brinson of Chadbourn and Nicholas Ward of Wilmington; three daughters, Emily Arledge of Myrtle Beach,  Stephanie Jennings of Whiteville, and Roxanne Brinson of Blythewood;  two brothers, Ray Ward of Destin Fla., and Kenny Ward of Lake Waccamaw; 12 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.    
    Visitation was planned from  7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Inman Funeral Home.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 in the Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church in Nakina. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery.
