Phyllis Horne Collins: Thomasville

      Phyllis Horne Collins of Thomasville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. She was 55.
    Born on Aug. 9, 1958 in Lumberton, a daughter of Mr. Benjamin Thomas and Mrs. Mable Rogers Horne. Mrs. Collins was self-employed with Mobile Home Repairs and was of the Baptist faith but will be most remembered for her compassion and her love for her dogs.
    Surviving are two sisters; Darlene Hatton of Trinity, and Gloria Briles of Asheboro; two brothers; Harold Rogers Sr. of Clayton, and Dr. Tony Horne of Thomasville.
    Mrs. Collins was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charlie ‘C.C.’ Collins and two brothers, Frank Rogers and Bobby Horne.
    Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mack Hutson and Rev. Dr. Tony Horne officiating. Interment  followed in the Grainger Family Cemetery.
