Myra Mae Fennell Grainger: Longs

    Myra Mae Fennell Grainger of Longs passed away Monday, Oct. 14  at McLeod Seacoast hospital following an illness. She was 95.
    Born on June 30, 1918 in Little River, she was the daughter of Matthew Mosley Fennell and Ellen Allison Vereen Fennell.  Mrs. Grainger was the owner and operator of a general store for most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith but will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
    Survivors include her son, Lamar Bennett and wife, Ellen “Lenny” Bennett of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; two grandchildren, Amy Lyn Early and husband, Steve of Alexandria, Va., and Matthew Aaron Bennett and wife, Jessica of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and two great-granddaughters, Alyson and Kelly Early.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grainger was predeceased by her first husband, Leon Bennett; her second husband, Delbert Grainger and her many loving brothers and sisters.
    Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at Buck Creek Cemetery with Reverend Mack Hutson officiating.
