Robert I. Henegar, Jr.: Loris

    Robert I. Henegar, Jr.,  of Loris died Saturday, Oct. 26, due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis, at McLeod Loris hospital. He was 53.
    He was born June 30, 1960, in Riverdale, Md., and grew up in Glenn Dale, Md.  He moved to South Carolina, becoming a police officer in Conway, and then Loris.  He was forced by MS to retire on disability after diagnosis in 2002.
    Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Savannah Lynn Henegar and Mary Katherine Henegar; one granddaughter, all of Aynor; his mother, Mary Elsie Daisey of Raleigh, and his sisters, Anne Huffman of Grayslake, Ill., Leah Lewis of Oriental, and Jane Cooper of Raleigh.
    He will also be missed by his stepmother, Phyllis Henegar.
    He was predeceased in death by his father, Robert Henegar of Surfside, and his brother, James Henegar of Raleigh.
    Funeral services were planned for noon on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, 1011 Hwy 9 Business East, Loris, with Father Bob Sayer officiating. Interment was to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, 1000 Highway 544, Conway.
