Martha Helen Westmoreland Frink: Bladenboro
Martha Helen Westmoreland Frink of Bladenboro and formerly of Columbus County passed away on Monday, Oct. 28 at her home. She was 85.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton Graves and Frances Lott Westmoreland; her loving husband of 52 years William “Bill” Lee Frink, and a daughter, Lee Frink Turner.
Mrs. Frink taught English for 29 years at Bladenboro High School. She enjoyed teaching English and she touched the lives of many students with her knowledge and inspiration. She also was a member of Lennon’s Cross Roads Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a charter member of the Reader’s Guild Book Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Smith and her husband Michael of Bladenboro; one sister, Frances Anne Winstead and husband Jimmy of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Rebecca Smith Chavis and husband Billy, Anne Lee T. Ipock and husband Alex, Barry Turner and wife Stephanie and Claudia Smith; Six great granddaughters, Deanna Chavis, Annabel and Charlotte Ipock, Rebecca, Kara and Elizabeth Turner; one sister-in-law, Ola Grace Butler and the Smith Family.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Lennon’s Cross Roads Baptist Church in Evergreen with Dr. Fred Senter and Rev. Warren Hill officiating. Burial followed in Galeed Baptist Church Cemetery.
