Juanita Gattis Harris: Longs

    Juanita Gattis Harris of Longs passed away Saturday, Oct. 26 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River following an illness. She was 72.
    Born on May 20, 1941 in Loris, she was the daughter of Mr. Marvin Gattis and Mrs. Daisy Cornelius Jordan Gattis Skipper. 
    Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
     Survivors include her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Harris of the home; son, Glen Mishoe of Loris; daughter, Kendra Grill of Charlotte; stepson, Larry Harris of Nashville, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Peggy Kravig of Pico Rivera, Ca.; two brothers, Edgar Gattis of Conway, and Carroll Gattis of Longs; four sisters, Willa Mae Drew of Conway, Jean Kalb of Huntington Beach, Ca., Carthinia Lee of Nichols, and Judith Williamson of Evergreen, and many loving grand and great-grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was predeceased by one brother, Mr. Carl Gattis.
     Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mack Hutson officiating.  Committal services were private.
