Aline Fowler Gerald: Loris

Mary Aline Fowler Gerald of the Live Oak community near Loris died Wednesday, Nov. 6 at McLeod Loris Hospital following an illness. She was 85.
Born on May 11, 1928 in Tabor City, Mrs. Gerald was the daughter of the late Asbury and Quillie Fowler.
Mrs. Gerald was a homemaker and a longtime and active member of Live Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Eugene Gerald and wife, Pat, and Randy Gerald all of Loris; one daughter, Delois Jernigan of Loris; son-in-law, Harry Harrelson of Loris; daughter-in-law, Kim Gerald of Loris; two sisters, Thelma Hardee of Loris, and Kathleen Suggs of Tabor City; one brother, M.C. Fowler and wife, Nelda of Loris; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gerald was predeceased by her husband, Johnnie Gerald; one daughter, Donna Harrelson; one brother, Reverend Glen Fowler and one sister, Beulah Cox.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Live Oak Baptist Church with burial following in Cane Branch Cemetery. Reverend Roger Chestnut and Reverend Rusty Brown will officiate.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Hardwick Funeral Home.
