Vera M. Stanley: Tabor City

     Vera M. Stanley of Tabor City died Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. She was 87.
     She was the daughter of the late Luther Smith and Darcas Clark Smith.  
    Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by two sons,  Jimmy Bryan Stanley and Cecil Bryan “CB” Stanley, Jr.;  one brother and three sisters.  
    She was survived by five grandchildren, Jason Bryan Stanley and wife Angie of Tabor City, Jennifer Brooke Stanley of Green Sea, Lori Wilbanks and husband Mike of Kings Mountain, Christy Little and husband Jody of Locus, and Bryan Stanley of Ocean Isle Beach;  six great grandchildren, Jacob, Wyatt, Carter, Eli, Christian, and Jordan.
    Funeral services  were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at in Forest Lawn Baptist Church with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter, 206 Warrior Trail Road, Whiteville, NC 28472  or to Forest Lawn Baptist Church, 16025 James B. White, Hwy  S., Tabor City, NC 28463.
