James Windell Wade, Sr.: Loris

    James Windell Wade, Sr. of Loris passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Conway Hospital following an illness. He was 74.
     Mr. Wade was born on Oct. 19, 1939 in Loris to the late Mr. Willie James Wade and the late Mrs. Evelyn McCormick Wade.  Mr. Wade was a retired mechanic and farmer and attended Springfield Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his two daughters, Rhonda Gail Snowden of Conway and Angela Jo Stocks of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, James Windell Wade, Jr. of Loris and Greggory “Greg” Dale Wade of Shallotte; one brother, Roger Wade of Longs; two sisters, Pearl Barnhill and Brenda “Joyce” Long, both of Loris; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mack Hutson officiating. Committal services were private.
