Annette Herring Norris: Tabor City

    Annette Herring Norris of Tabor City died Friday, Dec. 27 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville. She was 76.
    She was the daughter the late Willie Herring and Anna Ruth Barker. She was the widow of Bobby Bane Norris.
    She is survived by three daughters, Cherry Norris Roughton of Wilmington, Patty Norris Singletary of Tabor City, and Kathy Norris Barnes of Hampstea; one son, Bobby Bane Norris Jr. of Raleigh; three brothers, Ellis Herring and Russell Herring of Loris, and Jim Herring of Alexandra, La.; one sister, Jennifer Dix of Myrtle Beach; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, in Sandy Plain Baptist Church, Tabor City, with burial following in the Sandy Plain Cemetery.
    Visitation was planned for one hour prior to the service, in the church.
