Iris Hardee Sarvis: Loris
Iris Hardee Sarvis of Loris passed away Friday, Dec. 27. He was 88.
Mrs. Sarvis was born in the Oak Dale Community of Loris. She was the daughter of the late W. Mayo Hardee and the late Attie Cox Hardee. Mrs. Sarvis was a longtime member of Loris First Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by three brothers, John Watis Hardee, Avery Hardee, and Shelton Hardee; and one sister, Mary Fipps.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Sarvis Young of Ash; one son, Samuel Lloyd Sarvis II of Loris; two brothers, William Joyce Hardee of Loris and Defford D. Hardee of Creedmoor; five sisters, Elga Russ of Sanford, Doris Piver of Tabor City, Leatis Smith and Carolyn Edwards of Rock Hill, and Vela Wood of Smithfield.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at Loris First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Mezick, Rev. Carl Harris, and Rev. Stephen Nobles officiating. Burial was to follow in the Hardee Family Cemetery in the Oak Dale Community.
