New Year’s baby

Ron’dazia Camir Riggins was the area’s first baby of 2014, born at 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 1 at McLeod Loris. She was the first child for parents Sherelda Grate, 26, and Rondale Riggins, 24, residents of the Daisy Community near Loris. Ron’dazia weighed 6 pounds, 7.3 ounces at birth, was 19 inches long, and was just a bit impatient about her arrival with mom’s due date on Jan. 7. A gift bag for the baby was presented from the McLeod Loris Gift Shop on behalf of the McLeod Loris Seacoast Auxiliary.
