Margaret Chestnut Rhodes: Loris

    Margaret Chestnut Rhodes of Loris passed away Monday, Jan. 6 at her home following an illness. She was 67.
    Mrs. Rhodes was born on Feb. 19, 1946 in Loris, the daughter of Mr. Homer Colell Chestnut and Mrs. Lenola Register Chestnut.
    Mrs. Rhodes retired from Wolverine Brass after 37 years of faithful service, was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church but will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
    Survivors include her husband, Harold Rhodes of the home; two daughters, Sharon Graham and husband, Ashley of Loris, and Sandra Lupo and husband, Terry of Conway; three grandchildren, Ashley Graham, Jr. and Aaron Graham both of Loris, and Heather Lupo of Conway;  one sister, Mildred Stevens of Conway.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rhodes was predeceased by her two brothers, Homer Coleman Chestnut and Homer Tyson Chestnut, Sr. and one sister, Hazel Chestnut Miller.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. Darren Hardwick officiating. Committal services followed in the Buck Creek Cemetery.
