Joann Hardee Shelley Gore: Loris

    Mary Joann Hardee Shelley Gore of Loris passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5 at MUSC in Charleston following an illness. She was 69.
    Born on August 4, 1944 in Loris, she was the daughter of Mr. William Luther Hardee and Mrs. Jarona Estelle Mishoe Hardee. 
    Mrs. Hardee retired from Shore Crest Vacation Villa’s, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, but will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
    Survivors include her husband, Harry Wright of the home; two sons, Billy Shelley and wife Kim and Gary Gene Shelley, all of Loris; two grandchildren, Taylor Ann Shelley and William Trask Shelley both of Loris; one brother, Tommy Hardee and wife Sherry of Loris; one sister, Judy Hardee Boyd and husband, Glenn of Conway,  and Mrs. Gore’s ex-husband, Wayne Gore.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gore was predeceased by her first husband, Gary G. Shelley and one brother, Jerry William Hardee.
     Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at Holly Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Strickland and Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating.
