Make-up day set for Daisy
One make-up day for those lost to two recent winter storms has been established for Daisy Elementary School, Horry County’s only year-round school.
Students will be in class on April 9, a previously established teacher workday.
Make-up days for other Horry County schools, and for those in Columbus County, have not yet been established. Lawmakers in both North Carolina and South Carolina are discussing the possibility of excusing some of those days, and N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory last week said he was looking at his options with so many schools days lost to the storms across the state.
