Sparks end a bus ride

Sparks and smoke from the rear of a Green Sea Floyds school bus cut short the ride for six students, driver Annie Rouse said.
There were no sparks and the students from elementary, middle school and high school grades were quickly evacuated, and soon on a second bus and on their way to school, with a story to tell.
Horry County Fire Rescue and Tabor City Fire Department responded, and quickly determined the problem to involve the transmission, with a puddle of its fluid left under the bus. HCRF firefighter Robert Rudelitch took a look inside the engine compartment, as Rouse observed.
