A reporter with a camera seemed to have healing powers after a local man told Tabor City police he had been struck by the BMW of former state Sen. R.C. Soles Jr. near his Canal Drive home Monday morning.
As this reporter arrived and reached for his camera following the 8:15 a.m. call, the man stood up, told police he did not want his photograph taken, and got into the truck of his nephew. They rolled away as an ambulance arrived.
