Lurie Edward Holmes: Loris

    Lurie Edward Holmes of Loris passed away Tuesday, March 25 at Loris Extended Care Center following an illness. He was 71.
     Born on March 13, 1943 in Loris, he was the son of Bruce Hampton Holmes and Mary Ann Causey Holmes.
    Survivors include his wife, Gail Holmes Driggers of Loris; two sons, Ricky Holmes and Johnathan Driggers of Loris; two daughters, Christie Stevens of Loris and Cheryl Holmes of Clarendon; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Holmes was predeceased by his brother, Frankie Hampton Holmes and four sisters, Carolyn Johnson, Eva Lee Holmes Collins, Jeanette O’Quinn, Lille Lee and Ann H. Cox.
    Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Holly Hill Cemetery with Reverend Mark Stevens officiating.
