Wreck sends three women to the hospital

Two women from New York and a third from Horry County were taken to McLeod Loris hospital following a late-morning auto crash in Tabor City.
No one appeared seriously hurt in the incident, which involved a Hyundai hitting a Toyota in the rear, and the Toyota damaging the wheel-well of a trailer. Both New York women were in the Toyota, the third taken to the hospital alone in then Hyundai.
Damage to the Toyota, shown here, appeared much more significant than that suffered by the Hyundai, though the air bag did deploy on the rear vehicle.
Police and firefighters kept traffic moving on one-lane of U.S. 701 at the busy intersection with NC 904.
