Rosa Piver Hardee: Loris
Rosa Piver Hardee of Loris passed away Monday, April 14 following a long illness. She was 83.
Born on Nov. 13, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of Mr. John Quincey Piver and Mrs. Rosetta Norris Piver.
Mrs. Hardee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, gardening and caring for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Joyce Hardee of the home; one son, William J. Hardee, II and wife, Brenda of Loris; four daughters, Theresa Singletary and husband, John of Tabor City, Phyllis Uebelacker and husband, John of Naples, Fla., Lucina Stone and husband, Mike of Raeford, and Devora Harrelson and husband, Michael of Loris; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and her sister, Flangie P. Hannah of Georgia.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardee was predeceased by one sister, Drue P. Hardee and her four brothers, Hoyt Piver, Foster Piver, Johnny Piver and Avery Piver.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Hardee Cemetery on Oak Dale Road with Reverend Allen Singletary officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Hardee’s caregivers, Danielle Lee, Dana Hays and Dionne Edwards for their support and love during this difficult time.
