Performances of a Community Passion Play, begin tonight in the Tabor-Loris Community, director Anne Jernigan says.
Performances are Saturday in the Beth R. Woody Auditorium at Tabor City Elementary School, Easter Sunday in the auditorium at Loris High School.? Both sets of performances begin at 5 and 7 p.m.
A cast of 75 singers, with orchestra, has been working on this production for months, Jernigan said.
“The Passion Play is a one hour musical drama telling the story of Jesus’ last week on earth,” Jernigan said. “The passion play is presented in biblical costume and set. 20 Churches from the Tabor-Loris area are involved in this production.”
All are invited to these free, public presentations. Doors will open 30-minutes prior to each performance. Childcare will be available for small children.
Jernigan leads Reclaim Ministries, which is producing the production. Visit its Facebook page here.
