Tabor City’s mid-town water tower will have a new look soon, with members of the Town Council recently approving a new logo for the aerial structure.
Council gave the proposal from Promotions Director Dianne B. Ward a cool reception earlier this year, but warmed up to the idea when members Miona Fonvielle and Nelson Lee joined Ward on a committee to look through additional designs.
“We had about 20 designs,” Ward told council on April 8. “They came up with a design that they liked.”
Unlike the first design presented to council, which contained drawing of sweet potatoes, the winning concept contains lettering only, just six words:
