Rudy Shelley: Loris

    Rudy Dean Shelley of Loris, died Monday, May 19. He was 37.
    Mr. Shelley was born in Lumberton, a son of Ronald Carson and Sherry Jean Strickland Shelley.
    He was employed by Horry Telephone Cooperative. He was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church Worship Center in Tabor City,  and was baptized at Carolina Baptist Church in Green Sea. He was the founder of Mini Monster Racing.
     Surviving, in addition to his parents of Green Sea, are his wife, Crystal Bell Shelley of Loris; a daughter, Kamri Bell Shelley; a son, Bryar Dean Shelley; and expecting a son in June; a brother, Scott Elliott Shelley of Conway; and a niece.
    Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel; and at his residence at other times.
     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Langston Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Ward, Rev. Larry Bell and Rev. Timmy Locklear officiating; and burial to at New Horizon Baptist Worship Center Cemetery, Tabor City.
