Changes at the top at TCEmS

By DEUCE NIVEN

Significant changes to the leadership at Tabor City Emergency Services (TCEmS) have taken place in the past week, with a new chief and a new board chairman now in place.
Ronnie Watts, Chief of the emergency medical department since 2008, resigned Thursday, new board chairman Mike Worley said. Chairman Tommy Spivey resigned on Friday.
Efforts to contact both Watts and Spivey were not successful on Tuesday.
Linda Gail Russ, the department’s Assistant Chief, moved up to the Chief’s post upon Watts’ resignation.
