Maxie Watts: Tabor City

    Maxie Leon Watts of Tabor City died Friday, June 6, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter, Whiteville. He was 83.
    Mr. Watts served in the United States Air Force and was a retired Magistrate.
    Born Jan. 15, 1931 in Columbus County, Mr. Watts was the son of the late Bruce and Luemettie Soles Watts.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Buffkin Watts and one son, Timmy Watts.
    He is survived by his son, Whitney Watts and wife Regina of Loris; two brothers, Jack Watts of Burlington; Jerry Watts of Tabor City; one sister, Janice Watts of Tabor City; three grandchildren, Courtney Watts, Katie Watts, Karlie Watts; two great grandchildren, Andrea Williamson, and Aiden Williamson.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 7 in Inman & Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.   
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8 in the Inman & Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
