Buck L. Johnson: Loris

    Buck L. Johnson of Loris passed away Saturday, June 14, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. He was 77.
    He was born in Tabor City, a son of the late Lester and Bessie Fowler Johnson. He was predeceased by one sister, Doris Shelley, and one brother, Jackie Johnson.
    Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jane B. Johnson of Loris; a son, Darrell Johnson of Loris; a daughter, Darlene Hardee of Loris; two sisters, Patsy Johnson of Tabor City and Joann Stinson of North Augusta; a brother, Tony Johnson of Tabor City; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
    Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with Rev. Andy Bell officiating, and committal services following in Twin City Memorial Gardens.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
