4th on the 7th draws a crowd anyway

Delayed four days by rain from Hurricane Arthur, Tabor City’s July 4th fireworks celebration brought big crowds to South Columbus High School, and to surrounding roadways, on Monday night.
There were some eyes to the sky, with radar detecting some rain to the west as the 9:30 p.m. fireworks extravaganza approached, but no real weather threat to disturb the event, preceded by patriotic displays, music, raffles, and more.
Look for more on the fun in the July 9 Tabor-Loris Tribune in print and online.
