Hannah Hickman Hardee: Loris

    Hannah Hickman Hardee of Loris passed away Tuesday morning, July 8 at her home following an illness. She was 74.
    Born on Sept. 21, 1939 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Davis Hickman and the late Sidney Mitchelle Bellamy Hickman. Mrs. Hardee graduated from Winthrop University and taught English at Loris and Green Sea High Schools until her retirement.
    Mrs. Hardee was a member of Loris First Baptist Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Loris but will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
    Survivors include her two daughters, Audrey Hardee Peterson and husband, Alan of Loris, and Heather Hardee Tiller and husband, Bill of Clinton; one son, Stuart Hardee of Loris and his wife, Nancy Hardee; six grandchildren, Adam and Samuel Peterson, Mitchelle Hardee, and Janie, Ada Ruth and Jacob Tiller and her brother-in-law, James R. Gore of Easley.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardee was predeceased by her husband, Donald Fowler Hardee, and her sister, Sidney Ann Hickman Gore.
    Graveside services were planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at Bellamy-Brooks Cemetery with Mr. Ronald Fowler officiating. The family planned to receive friends immediately following the service at Mrs. Hardee’s home.
