Stoney Buffkin: Fairmont

    Stoney Buffkin of Fairmont died Sunday in Southeastern Hospice Center in Lumberton. He was 60.
    Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Brice Evington and Reba Grainger Buffkin.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
    He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Lee Norris of Shallotte; one son, Richard Wayne Buffkin of Supply; two brothers, Berwyn Buffkin of Lumberton, Rocky Buffkin of Whiteville; three sisters, Bronica McDaniel of Latta, Gail Poston of Dillon, Patrina Buffkin of Aynor; and one grandchild.     
    A memorial service was planned for 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Inman Ward Funeral Home, 300 East Fifth Street, Tabor City, NC  28463.
