Mary Eliza Cox Spivey: Tabor City

    Mary Eliza Cox Spivey of Tabor City died Saturday, July 19, in her home. She was 86.
    Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Mayo D. Cox and Lonie Harrelson Cox.
    She is survived by two sons, Wesley Spivey of Ankeny, Iowa and Mike Spivey of Elloree; a daughter, Jean Spivey of Tabor City; a brother, Darwin Cox of Portsmouth, Virginia; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death in by her husband, James Edward Spivey, a son, Jeff Spivey; two brothers, S.P. Cox and infant Sidney Cox; and two sisters, Halestine Spiveyand Florine Spivey.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 21, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Spivey Cemetery, Tabor City.
