Gertrude Prince Kozak: Loris

Lizzie Gertrude Stroud Prince Kozak of Loris passed away Friday, July 25 at Carolina’s Hospital System in Florence, following an illness. She was 86.
Born on Oct. 1, 1927 in Tabor City she was the daughter of the late Mr. John H. Stroud and Mrs. Cora Boswell Stroud. Mrs. Kozak was a retired Kindergarten assistant with North Myrtle Beach Primary School and a longtime faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Loris. She loved animals, especially her cats but will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her three daughters, Paula Jackson of Florence, SC, Carol Wright of Little River, SC and Pamela McLamb and her husband, Kenny also of Little River, SC; four grandchildren, Amy Graham, Susan Miles, Sabrina Hessman and Kimberly McLamb; one great-grandchild, Madalyn Hessman; one brother-in-law, Bruce Jackson of Loris and one sister-in-law, Marie Stroud of Palm Desert, Calif.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kozak was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Graham Prince; her second husband, Andrew Lawrence Kozak; three brothers, Mike, Jay and Ethell Stroud and two sisters, Edna Jackson and Mary Beth Hardee.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 28 at Twin City Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dr. Tim Osment offitiating.
