Rena Dakotah Springs: Loris

Rena Dakotah Springs of Loris passed away Tuesday, July 29. She was 18.
Born Oct. 7, 1995 in Loris, the daughter of Georgia Springs and the late Raymond Owens Springs.
Miss Dakotah worked at Hamburger Joe’s and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors, including her mother of the home, are her brother, Elijah Springs, grandmother, Gloria Ann Springs Jackson, and great-grandmother, Isabelle Stanley Springs, all of Loris; paternal grandparents, Joe and Lucy Oliver of Greensboro; her uncle, Jackie Jackson of Little River; two aunts, Joni Jackson of Loris and Jill Roszel of Little River; a special cousin, Sullivan Atkinson of Loris; a step-sister, Molly Millican of The Dalles, Oregon; a special childhood friend, McKenzie Harley of Loris; and many loving great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
In addition to her father, Dakotah was predeceased by her great-grandfather, George Morgan Springs, and grandfather, John Henry Jackson.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Loris First Baptist Church with Rev. Hunter Johnson officiating, committal services following at Harrelson Cemetery.
Memorial donations in remembrance of Miss Dakotah Springs will be announced.
