Hazel Strickland Duncan: Loris

    Hazel Strickland Duncan of Loris passed away at her home on Thursday, Aug. 7 surrounded by her family. She was 77.
    Mrs. Duncan was born in Horry County a daughter of the late John Drawdy Strickland and the late Mertie Hollomon Strickland.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. D. Griffin Duncan; great-grandson, Matthew Bellamy, and brother, J. Drawdy Strickland, Jr.
    She leaves behind her loving family of three daughters, Doreen Rogers of North Myrtle Beach, Rhonda Hudson of Charlottesville, Va., and Cindy Taylor of Tarboro, NC; two sons, Buddy Duncan of Grifton, NC, and Kenny Duncan of Gorham, Maine; her dear sister, Shirley Rhodes of Loris; her devoted brother, Larry Wayne Strickland of Conway; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation was planned from  6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Larry Hudson and Rev. Stuart Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Buck Creek Cemetery.
