Juanita Fowler Porter: Tabor City

Juanita Fowler Porter of Tabor City died Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was 81.
She was born Sept. 24, 1932 in Loris to the late Jettie Roscoe and Essie Mae Lewis Fowler.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Rosco Fowler and Charles Wayne Fowler.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband, LD Porter of the home; two daughters, Wanda Porter Bardill (Chuck) of Sanford, Sandra Porter McCormick (Larry) of Tabor City; one brother, Jerry Fowler of Loris; three sisters, Willa Mae Norris of Tabor City, Irene Phipps of Tabor City, Kathleen Fipps of Loris; four grandchildren, Jason Turner, Faith Bardill, Conner McCormick, Deeanna McCormick; one great grandchild: Trae Turner; and extended family: Corbin Clemons, Nicholas and Nathan Clemons.
Mrs. Porter was a member of Sandy Plain Baptist Church.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 in Sandy Plain Baptist Church, Tabor City with burial following in the Porter Cemetery.
