William Bishop “Bill” Prince, Sr.: Tabor City

William Bishop “Bill” Prince, Sr., 61, of Tabor City, NC died Wednesday, Aug. 20, following a sudden illness. He was 61.
He was born on Dec. 22, 1952 to the late Arthur and Esther Prince of Tabor City.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Miriam Garrell Prince; sons, Billy Prince and wife Stacy of Little River, Tanner Prince and wife Courtney of Supply; four grandchildren, Jesse, Zach, Nicholas, Christopher and Emma; and one brother: Hank Prince of Tabor City.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Farrah Faith Prince.
Bill was the Sunset Beach old swing bridge operator for 17 years. Bill loved rebuilding motorcycles, especially old Harley Davidson’s and was featured in V-Twin magazine. He also enjoyed rebuilding and racing vintage race cars with his brother, children, grandchildren and friends. Bill also loved the North Carolina Mountains where he and Miriam happily raised their family for many years.
Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, from in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
Funeral Services were planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City, with burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
